What is a respirator? A respirator is an apparatus worn over the mouth and nose or the entire face
that protects you from inhaling dangerous
substances, such as dust, smoke, chemicals,
infectious particles or other noxious substances. Respirators are among the most important
pieces of protective equipment for working in hazardous environments. It
requires an assessment of the entire workplace and the environment. One must identity
any hazard(s) and the airborne particulates in order to choose a respirator. Consult
an experienced safety personnel or industrial hygienist for this recommendation.
There are several different types of respirators, air-purifying respirators, which use filters, cartridges, or canisters to remove
contaminants from the air you breathe, and atmosphere-supplying
respirators, which provide you with clean air from an uncontaminated

Crystalline Silica (silica dust), which could possibly cause incurable lung
